Privacy
WhoozCooking respects your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.
This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website WhoozCooking.com (the “Site”) or use our mobile applications (the “Apps”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. We refer to the Site and Apps together as the “Platform.”
This policy applies to information we collect on the Site, the Apps, and in text messages, chat communications, and emails between you and WhoozCooking. It does not apply to information collected by us offline.
This policy does not apply to any information collected by any third party, such as a third-party payment processor or third-party delivery service, or the provider of any services or content that may link to or be accessible from the Site or Apps.
This policy does not apply to information that users of the Platform share directly with each other (for example in communication between a Cook and consumer), except to the extent that the communication also is shared with WhoozCooking.
Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you should not use the Site or Apps. By accessing or using the Site or Apps, you agree to this privacy policy.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Personal identifying information. For example, when you sign up for an account, place an order, apply to sell food through our platform, or contact us with a question, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, email address, home or business address, and phone number.
- Other information. When you use our Site, we may collect information that does not identify you personally, such as information about the web browser you are using, your IP address, and domain. We might track the pages you visit. We might look at what website you came from, or what website you visit when you leave our Site. We also automatically collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Apps. This information can include information such as the hardware model, operating system information, app version, app usage and debugging information, browser information, IP address, and device identifiers. We collect this information using tracking tools described in this policy. To control those tools, please read the “Your Choices” section.
- The reason we use SMS and ask for your phone number is in order to receive confirmation of delivery of your order. We do not send marketing via SMS . SMS is used only for registration and for confirmation of delivery.
HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
- We collect information directly provided by you. For example, if you register for an account, create a profile to share with other users, post content on the Platform, place an order through the Platform, or contact us to ask questions.
- We collect information about you that other users of the Platform provide, such as when a consumer user posts a review of Cook’s food or when a Cook provides us with information about a purchaser.
- If you permit the Site or Apps to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system or browser, we may also collect and store the precise location of your device. This information may be used to help you find Cooks offering food for sale in your area, to select your delivery address, to provide more accurate deliveries of your orders, to provide recommendations to you, and to enhance your user experience and improve the services.
- We may collect or receive personal identifying information about you from publicly available sources, social media network providers, marketing partners, and/or third parties. For example, we receive certain information from Facebook when you use their service to login to WhoozCooking. We may also collect demographic information about you from third-party services.
- We collect information from you passively. We collect personal information about users over time and across different websites when you use this Site. We also have third parties that collect personal information this way. We use tracking tools like browser cookies, flash cookies, and web beacons.
- We use data analytics software to ensure Site and App functionality and to improve the Platform. This software records information such as how often you use the Apps, what happens within the Apps, aggregated usage, performance data, app errors and debugging information, and where the Apps were downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information that you submit.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect:
- To provide and improve our Platform and services.
- To facilitate transactions between Cooks and consumers on our Platform. As part of the buying and selling process, WhoozCooking will facilitate the sharing of information between the two users involved in the transaction, such as the consumer user’s delivery address and payment status. This can also involve us sharing your information with some of our third-party partners, such as third-party delivery and payment processors. Such partners will process your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies. By making a sale or a purchase on the Platform, you are directing us to share your information in this way. We expect you to respect the privacy of the user whose information you have received.
- To respond to your questions and requests, and to communicate with you about your account.
- To notify you about changes to our services, products, policies, or the Platform.
- To customize your experience with the Platform to help you find items you may wish to purchase and to help Cooks find the best ways to market and sell their products on the Platform.
- To send you marketing messages and as part of our advertising of Cooks.
- To enforce our Terms and Conditions, which you have agreed to by using the Platform.
- For safety and security purposes, which can include sharing your information for such purposes, because it is necessary to pursue our legitimate interests or those of a third party in ensuring the security of our Platform, preventing harm to individuals or property, or crime, enforcing or defending legal rights, or preventing damage to WhoozCooking’s systems, or those of our users or our partners.
- To help facilitate the resolution of a dispute between users of the Platform.
- In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
- For any other purpose with your consent.

We will not share your personal information with a vendor unless they have agreed to maintain its confidentiality and use it only for purposes of providing the services for which we hired them
- To comply with the law. For example, we will share information to respond to a court order, subpoena, other governmental request. In some jurisdictions, we may be legally required to report certain information about users of the Platform and the transactions occurring on the Platform.
- To prevent harm to persons or property, and to address fraudulent or criminal conduct. We may disclose your personal information to government authorities or other third-parties when we reasonably believe in good faith that it is necessary to do so to prevent or stop physical harm to people, property damage, fraud, or illegal activities.

- You can choose not to provide personal information. However, if you don’t provide us with information, you cannot register as a user and will not be able to sell or buy on our Platform.
- You can opt out of marketing emails or text messages by following the instructions in any marketing emails or text messages you receive. You can also opt-out by sending us an email.

You may also email us to have your personal information deleted; however, there may be some personal information that we are legally required to maintain, which will not be deleted until we are no longer required to keep it.

If you block cookies, certain features on our Platform may not work. If you block or delete cookies, not all of the tracking activities we have described here will stop. Choices you make are both browser and device-specific.
- Our Do Not Track Policy. Some web browsers have a “Do Not Track” feature. This feature lets you tell websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. These features are not yet uniform across browsers. Our sites are not currently set up to respond to those signals.
- If you wish to opt out of cross device tracking for purposes of interest-based advertising, you may do so through your device settings. You can learn more about interest-based advertising and how to opt-out of receiving tailored advertising by visiting (i) the Network Advertising Initiative’s Consumer Opt-Out link or (ii) the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Consumer Opt-Out link. To opt out of Google Analytics for display advertising or customize Google display network ads, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page. Please note that even if you opt-out, you may still receive advertisements from us. However, in that case, the advertising will not be tailored to your interests. Also, we do not control any of the above opt-out links or whether any particular company chooses to participate in these opt-out programs.
- Users of mobile devices who do not want to receive interest-based advertising may opt-out in several ways. Learn more about your choices for mobile devices by visiting http://www.aboutads.info/appchoices. Each operating system, (iOS for Apple phones, Android for Android devices, and Windows for Microsoft devices) provides its own instructions on how to prevent the delivery of tailored in-application advertisements. You should view your device or system “Settings” to determine how you can opt out of use of your device ID for “cross-app” personalized advertising.
